As Troy Reeves and “The Reeves Team” have recently pointed out, the housing market is finally getting back to normal. To demonstrate exactly what we mean we put together a chart of all active homes on the MLS. This chart starts out at the beginning of 2013 and shows the change in available inventory from week to week.
As you can see the severe inventory shortage we have seen over the last months has started to taper off. Just recently we have seen inventory levels of over 20,000 homes available. This is great news for home buyers who have previously given up due to heavy competition or lack of options when it comes to the purchase of a new home.
