The Gilbert LDS Temple construction has been progressing quite nicely. On the Reeves Team we have been getting quite a few questions from out clients, especially those living within very close proximity, as to when the Gilbert Temple construction will be completed.
To answer those questions, the time frame for the temple dedication is currently planned for very early 2013. While these time schedules are always subject to change the progress so far has been very rapid, barring setbacks its even quite possible construction could be completed before schedule. Another bit of news is that the exterior of the Gilbert Temple is on pace to be completed by the end of 2011. So 2012 will be a yearlong project to complete the inside.

It goes without saying that now is a great time to buy, if you are looking to purchase a home near the Gilbert Temple. With the exterior only months away from completion home values are sure to rise quickly. Anyone not familiar with the Temple Effect can learn more about it here.
The construction of an LDS Temple, considered the most sacred place on earth to the LDS community, has a history of dramatically increasing the value of homes in the surrounding area. The newest Temple in the U.S. was opened in Idaho last August. After the announcement of the temple property values immediately surrounding the temple doubled overnight. Developers call increase in property value the “Temple Effect”. Mormon Temples are relatively rare, and because they are considered sacred, many LDS members like to live in the shadows of these buildings.
